Qihoo 360 Joins Adobe Summit in Las Vegas to assist American Brands in Grasping Opportunities in China

LAS VEGAS, NV – 25 Mar, 2017 – China Internet giant, Qihoo 360’s International Advertising Unit exhibited at the Adobe Summit – The Digital Marketing Conference, which was successfully held on 19-23 March 2017 in Las Vegas to mark its arrival to the US market.

Since Qihoo announced the launch of its big data analytics platform, 360 Shangyi last year, the China Internet giant continues to show its ambition to expand its advertising business to overseas markets by taking part in marketing events globally.

“We met with many overseas marketers and most agree that connecting with their Chinese customers effectively is challenging, so we are here to help.” – David Ip, General Manager of Qihoo 360’s International Advertising Unit, explained their global business strategy at the Summit.

“The Adobe Summit not only guarantees massive brand exposure to local marketers, but also provided us an opportunity to educate marketers about how to effectively advertise in China,” added James Hatcher, Business Development Director, North America of Qihoo 360’s International Advertising Unit.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the total retail sales of consumer goods for 2016 in China reached a record-breaking RMB33 trillion (USD4.8 trillion) and data from the National Travel and Tourism Office showed that 2.6 million Chinese tourists visited the United States in 2015, making China the most attractive market for many American brands. However, despite the huge potential, many American marketers see challenges in connecting with their Chinese customers successfully.

Recently, Qihoo 360 collected data intelligence from 360 Shangyi about specifics about Chinese outbound tourists that are looking to travel to the United States. The results showed that over one-third are from Beijing (12.32%), Guangdong (11.85%) and Shanghai (10.20%) while 54.06% of the target audiences are of the ages 25 – 34. This data provided by Qihoo and its 360 Shangyi platform provides a founded competitive advantage for companies to make insightful analyses prior to entering the China market, allowing them to connect their brand with targeted customers more precisely.

Further showing its dedication to expanding into the global market, Qihoo 360’s International Advertising Unit will soon host its first digital marketing seminar in Los Angeles and take part in marketing events in Sydney and London in the next quarter.
