Dec 28, 2018 – Distilling spirits has been an integral part in the growth of America. Today we continue to see new distilleries opening across our Nation and Jacksonville has not been left out. Four Father’s Distillery located on the northwest side of town opened their doors in 2015 and have turned to Solar Thermal energy to reduce operating costs and Greenhouse Gas emissions. This has been made possible with the advanced XCPC concentrating solar thermal collector technology manufactured by Artic Solar on the Westside of Jacksonville. Artic Solar, Inc., a Veteran Owned Small Business, has partnered with Energy Laboratories, Inc. and Four Father’s Distillery to provide a solar thermal solution to produce the steam required for the Four Father’s distilling process.
Over the years solar thermal has been thought of as only being able to provide for residential hot water systems. Not so any longer. Through the advancement of technology, Artic Solar is manufacturing an advanced, high temperature solar thermal technology capable of generating temperatures up to 400oF for Industrial Process Heat, Steam and Hot Water for Food & Beverage processing, manufacturing, evaporation and clean water.
This is a game changer for Industrial & Commercial markets which includes Distilleries and Breweries everywhere. The secret is the ability of the XCPC to generate heat from the sun in both direct and indirect radiation with no moving parts. What does this mean to the end user?
