Kovaceski Music Releases Eighth Album, ‘DUALITIES’, Featuring Renowned Macedonian Vocalist Svetlana Jovanovska
Kovaceski Music has officially announced the release of the project’s eighth album, ‘DUALITIES’. This new album features the talents of musicians from around the world including renowned Macedonian vocalist Svetlana Jovanovska.
The new album, spearheaded by Klime Kovaceski, conveys an interesting and highly unusual approach for creating songs altogether and features other artists including top Macedonian clarinet player Vlatko Terziski, longtime collaborator Alia Fay, and a first-time Kovaceski Music appearance by Tihana Nikolic.
“The album ‘DUALITIES’ was born out of the goal to develop various versions of the central music idea,” said Kovaceski about the new release. The album’s lineup of singles include “CORE” parts 1 and 2, “HOPES” parts 1 and 2, “EMPTINESS” part 1 and 2, and “NICOLA” parts 1 and 2.
One of the album’s tracks, “ILLUMINATIONS” was written just for Jovanovska. “The lyrics for ‘ILLUMINATIONS’ were written deliberately for Svetlana, which were brilliantly re-written in English by my friend and collaborator Natasha Garrett,” said Kovaceski. “A similar harmonic basis of the music is used for the two versions, also created taking into account the talent and personality of Svetlana. She was inspiring in every case and made the task easy.”
According to Jovanovska, “The opportunity to be part of such an interesting project is a new and exciting experience for me, especially since I have complete freedom in creating. ‘SVETLINI’ and ‘ILLUMINATIONS’ are the two versions in which I appear, the story and the emotion that they carry in their core, as if it became autobiographically mine, because every person carries both joy and sadness, and peace and restlessness, and sun and moon and light and darkness. Each of us lives through ‘DUALITIES’.”
